From Beaufort to Georgetown

Local, Family-Run Boat Watch & Management in the Lowcountry

BoatSitters performs scheduled inspections and condition checks for vessels throughout the Lowcountry — from Beaufort to Georgetown, and everywhere in between. We offer both annual membership plans and one-time service options. Where we service:

  • Marinas
  • Dry stack facilities
  • Private docks
  • Boat lifts
  • Residential properties
  • Private islands

We can also access vessels by water when needed, ideal for gated communities, private docks, or island properties where land access is limited.

Most vessel issues don’t happen overnight. They happen gradually — when no one is looking.

Year-Round Protection

Annual Oversight Membership

Our core service is built around consistency. Ideal for seasonal boat owners, second homes, or anyone not checking their vessel weekly.

Standard membership includes 6 scheduled inspections per year, with documented photo and checklist reports after every visit. Each inspection includes:

  • Battery & Bilge Checks
  • Electronics & Safety Checks
  • Critters & Debris Removal
  • Salt Protection Spray
  • Bad Weather Preparedness
  • Storm Checkups Included
Annual memberships start at $750, with options for more frequent, year-round coverage.

Additional one-time and response services are available as needed.

Why Regular Boat Checks Matter

Unattended boats can develop costly problems fast. Regular checks help catch issues early, keep your vessel compliant, and give you peace of mind when you’re away.

Boats Sink from Neglect

Dead batteries, clogged pumps, and unnoticed leaks can escalate quickly.

Catch Problems Early

Routine checks identify small issues before they become costly repairs.

Stay Marina-Compliant

Marinas expect vessels to be maintained and monitored. We help keep you compliant.

Local Response When Needed

Storm approaching or alarm triggered? We’re nearby and ready to respond.

This Is What Happens When Boats Go Unchecked

If your boat sinks, the costs don’t stop at the boat — you’re responsible for salvage, cleanup, and fines that can easily exceed $50,000.
